Paper chains. I made them when I was younger. It was time to bring the idea back for C. We actually did a countdown to Christmas this past December. We created this chain a while ago for his birthday.
C practiced cutting some paper we had around. (Consider using art your child has created, cut and staple). Then we stapled together.
I asked C to find a good spot to hang his chain and the dresser won. He thought it was pretty funny too. If you didn't already notice, it's like a face.
Paper chains are simple to create and fun for kids. They tear off a link each day until (insert event here).
They're great for any celebration...Christmas, birthdays, vacations, summer, end of school, return of a service member, and more.
Do you have a unique use or event for your paper chain?
