A Few of My Favorite Recipes (Part 2)

I know sometimes it's hard to come up with fresh (and easy) recipes for the family.  I'm picky, I won't lie, so here are a couple recipes that C (most of the time) and I love.

I'll post more recipes in the future.  Let me know what you think!

Italian Pasta Bake
1 lb. ground beef or turkey
1 1/2 c spaghetti sauce
2 c water
10-14oz noodles
2 c shredded mozzarella
Italian seasoning, as desired

Brown meat & drain.
While meat is cooking, combine water and spaghetti sauce.  Bring to a boil.
Add noodles to the water & sauce mixture.
Boil until tender, stirring occasionally.  Do not drain, as noodles should have absorbed most of the liquid.
Once meat is browned and noodle sauce mixture is complete, combine in a 9 x 13 pan.
Top with Italian seasoning as desired and mozzarella.
Bake, uncovered at 350 for 25 minutes.

Tip: Consider adding garlic or onion as desired.  If you're up for it consider making your own sauce.

I'm sure you can make this by hand, much like any other recipe, it's just easiest in the bread machine.

Take these below notes with you when reviewing the original recipe.

Inside: I add 3Tbsp butter instead of the oil.  Also, if you add two eggs instead of one egg and two whites it will work.  It just won't be as nice and airy.  I've tried it both ways.

For the filling I use 1/2 c sugar and 1 1/2 Tbsp cinnamon.
Additionally, I use natural cane juice (cane sugar) in all my recipes in place of brown & regular sugar.  I find brown sugar is too grainy for me in this recipe.

For the icing, follow the recipe or for other options, consider making your own cream cheese frosting, or go easy and use a tub of frosting from the store.

I use a flour that's a mixture of wheat and white, so keep that in mind when baking your own.

These freeze really well.  The only catch, don't let them touch the fridge until they've baked.  Let thaw on the counter.  If you follow these directions you'll have large, tasty cinnamon rolls.
