Caterpillar To Butterfly Books

Have you ever watched the process of metamorphosis from caterpillar to butterfly?
I don't remember doing this when I was younger and I'm really excited to share this project with C.

Prior to this project I researched books to read to C regarding caterpillars becoming butterflies.  Please find below suggested books you too can read with your child.

Later this week I will share with you our project as we watched caterpillars become butterflies.

Caterpillar to Butterfly by Camilla de la Bedoyere.  Great photographs and lift and look flaps. (Board Book)  Additional titles available.
The Crunching Munching Caterpillar by Sheridan Cain (Several Formats Available)
The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.  Basic classic. (Board Book or Hardcover)
Becoming Butterflies by Anne Rockwell. Great pictures and basic display of the process.

Other books of note:
The Butterfly by Anna Milbourne and Cathy Shimmen, and Usborne Book. Nice, but not my favorite.
Waiting for Wings by Lois Ehlert.  Not too interesting or informative.
From Caterpillar To Butterfly by Gerald Legg.  Didn't check it out but looked good as it was definitely for school aged children.
A New Butterfly: A First Look At Metamorphosis by Pamela Hickman.  Didn't check it out but looked good as again, it was for school aged children.
Caterpillars and Butterflies by Stephanie Turnbull, and Usborne Book.  Didn't check it out but looks great.
