Vehicle Books

Some time ago, well, after our road had construction for an entire summer...imagine watching the road being demoed, picked up, ditches dug and seeded, asphalt poured, curbs built, and another layer of asphalt poured.  Wow.  Yeah, it was a great summer and one C will never forget, even though he wasn't even two.  So, yes, of course he developed a love for all vehicles; tractors, cars and construction vehicles.  I wanted to nurture this new interest so I of course searched for books on the topic that were appropriate for his age.  Many were boring for me- or him, or had a poor story line.  Here are some that made the cut.

Dig, Lift, Push from Parachute Press(board book)
Trucks by Byron Barton (board book- other formats available)
Roadwork by Sally Sutton (available in hardcover or a board book)
Good Morning Digger by Anne Rockwell (hard to find and personally I think it has terrible drawings, but C loves it)
Tony Mitton and Ant Parker  Many titles on trucks, tractors, boats, space ships and more
Usborne Lift & Look are lift the flap large board books on many subjects such as tractors, trains, construction sites, planes, under the sea and more.
Usborne Trucks: Level 1 (Beginner's Science) by Katie Daynes
