The Ultimate Cheese Roll Recipe

Anyone remember my quest for the prefect Homemade Bread/ Cheese Twist Experiment?  I think I finally did it...I found the ultimate cheese roll recipe.
This isn't my photo.  I forgot to take a photo amongst all the eating.  Mine didn't look this pretty.  C was helping me.  He loves to help so why should I stop him?  He loved rolling the dough and helping me roll the dough into "snakes."  He also added the topping after I put on the egg wash.  Due to that most of our topping ended up on one roll.  Even though they weren't the prettiest, they tasted great.

They're actually called Cheese Stuffed Everything Pretzels.

Now, when I made mine I only had cheddar cheese on hand, so I just used that.  I also didn't have poppy seeds, so I substituted sesame seeds.  My point is, experiment with different cheeses and toppings to find your favorite or do what I did and just use what you have on hand.

Honestly, I have no intention of making other rolls (unless they're super super easy) ever again.  These are sooo good.

These freeze well, so make a batch and reheat one or more at a time.  Or make a double batch so you have enough for two meals for your larger family.

To Freeze: Place in a freezer safe bag, let cool and place in freezer.
To Reheat Frozen Rolls: As I do with almost all homemade rolls- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Bake for 15 minutes.  I suggest placing these on tinfoil or a silicone liner as the cheesy goodness goes to the bottom of the roll too.
