Halloween Inspiration- Projects, Decor & Treats

You can find many great ideas below, but you can find my list of Halloween & Fall- A Smorgasbord here.
This started out as Halloween & Fall.  Unlike me, it turned into almost all Halloween.  So, I removed the "fall" items and will save for another time or year.  I think there's enough here to keep everyone inspired for a while.

As you know, I only post things I truly think are neat and would try myself.  I've weeded through a lot to bring you my opinion of the best.  :-)

Pumpkin Decorating: We will NOT, I repeat NOT, be carving pumpkins this year.  It's more about fun and simplicity this year.  Carving pumpkins is NOT fun when mom does all the work.  Nor is it fun (for anyone), when the child sits there and watches everything (can't get the "guts" out, can't carve...).  We have already decorated two pumpkins as viewed below and will be using more methods this weekend.
Paint, glitter glue & Sharpies (sharpies were extra special since C knows he's not allowed to use them.  We once had sharpie all over our carpet when he was younger.)
Use stickers to make a polka-dotted pumpkin!

Polka-dots and Woody are our pumpkin updates.

Painting techniques using stickers/ tape.
Photo credits: would love to give credit where it is due, but they are dead links.

Felt Pumpkin Masks (and patterns!)

Rocks work too!

  Mason Jar Jack-O-Lanterns (dead link)

Glowing Eyes In The Bushes- must check out!

Halloween Bag- simple, easy, and cute!

Storytelling Pumpkin- a cut for each part of the story.  Result- a pumpkin!

Felt Board/ Busy Bag Pumpkin (dead link, but I'm sure easy to recreate)

Monster Slime- treat alternative (only recommended for families you know!)

Treat Bag & Bingo Printables

 Jello Worms
Dead link, but I think the picture tells all, but maybe readers can add suggestions, tips below?

Fun Snack- or candy alternative

Another Fun Snack- or candy alternative

My favorite part!  Add some fun learning! (we will be doing this)

  1. Karla, I love these! My Anna is so creative and she would get a kick out of so many. I think we will start with the mason jar lanterns with the tissue paper, she would like to do those! The leaf pumpkin is cool, but totally not for me, no artistic talent in my bones, however we could attempt the candy corn ones. Thanks for these links and I always love reading your craft ideas!
