Homemade Colored Glue

C loves glitter glue and it's pretty inexpensive for a couple small tubes.  Colored glue is another story.  It's around $3 a bottle.  Here's how to make four bottles for under a dollar.

It's so simple.  Purchase some glue on sale during school supply sales (19 cents each!) and add 10 drops of food coloring to each.  Shake.

With more shaking

We had fun shaking these and being silly.  However, even after letting them sit for around 12 hours and shaking some more they weren't completely colored throughout.

At this point I let C play with them and the color came through.  If needed, I can always add more food coloring as the bottles get lower.

Use it to glue things, write letters or numbers.  Have fun with it.

There aren't more photos, because C used his glue to glue paper pieces.  There isn't anything with the color to show you.  He did however have fun and that's what's most important.
