I've posted about Painting With Water- Outside before, but here's a new spin on it.
Grab a paint brush, cup of water, and some chalk. Then, head outside.
Write something on the ground and have your child "paint" with water over it. It's a great opportunity to discuss colors, writing, letters, spelling, and how water changes color with every dip of the brush.
C started out writing nicely, but quickly realized the water "runs" a bit so he didn't have to be as meticulous with the details.
C loves painting and water, so it's awesome when the two can be put together.
If you want or need to stay indoors, try this on a chalk board!
Also, use whatever brush you have on hand, an old painting brush or one of the larger/ thicker kid's painting brushes. Sponge works well, but will get "eaten" by the cement.
