It's The Things You Don't Think Of That Work The Best- My Tips From Pinterest

I've been MIA for a week and I'd like you to know that I got a tablet and it's taking me a while to figure out how things work...differently. I still can't get photos to upload on it and so that's really my main reason for the delay in posts.  Well, that and I didn't have any already written and scheduled.  I'll do my best to continue bringing you new posts, but I can't promise anything until I figure this new "tool" out.

I've come across several tips on Pinterest recently.  Here are a few I've recently tried.

Dust lamp shades with a lint brush (sticky roll).  I haven't dusted my lamp shades in many, many years as a cloth and Swiffer duster do nothing to help the problem.  They only throw the dust in the air.  With a sticky lint brush I was able to get all the dust off the shade's surface.  And that makes me VERY happy.

Sharpen dull razors by striking on a matchbox.  I tried this and it wasn't sharp afterwards.  It's possible I didn't strike it enough or the surface was too dull already on the matchbox.
Have you tried this?  I'd like to make this one work.  Razors are expensive!

Clean the residue and mineral buildups on your shower head by placing vinegar in a plastic baggie and putting a rubber band around it.  Let sit wile you do something else and it will be perfectly clean!
The best part- you don't have to worry about chemicals running onto your hands if it leaks out a little while tying the rubber band on.

If you have shaving cream or any other containers in your bathroom or shower with a metal bottom, prevent them from rusting and leaving rust spots on your counter or shower by coating the bottom with clear nail polish.  Clearly my cotton ball and q-tip holder is already rusted.
I coated it to prevent further rusting and residue on my counter.

I plan to try more tips I've found in the near future.  Do you have any favorite tips?
