Here are some coffee filter valentines C and I made for family.
Materials:
Markers- suggested pinks/reds/oranges
Coffee filters
Dropper
Water
Paper Towel
Scissors
Hole punch
String
1.Fold your filter in half
2.Cut into a heart
3.Unfold and draw whatever you want on it with your markers
4.Lay out paper towel and place decorated hearts on top
5.Using a dropper, places drops one by one on hearts. Watch the marker spread.
6.Let dry
7.Hole punch and add a string to hang

Fish Bowl Valentines
Materials:
Twist ties or string
Clear plastic baggies- not the ziploc ones
Paper to print on
Goldfish crackers or fish candies
C added his name to the back.
As you can see I printed in black and white since we don't have color right now. I'd recommend color, but it's not the end of the world.
This turned out to be a learning activity too. I didn't think about it, but C helped in just about every way. Writing his name many times and counting crackers as he placed them in the bags. He had fun and is very proud of them.
