Bubbles!

Who doesn't love bubbles?!

I found these bubble wands at my local Dollar Tree (early to mid May).  I highly recommend you run out and grab a couple.  They're so inexpensive ($1) for a ton of fun.  Consider gifting them along with a gallon of home made bubbles and having a couple extra on hand for friends or when one breaks.

At first C waved his arm so fast he didn't even make bubbles.  I had to show him how to do it gently and he caught on quickly.  Now all C wants to do is play with bubbles every day.  He loves to catch them too.

My aunt kindly provided me with this bubble recipe.  It's cost effective compared with regular bubbles and you'll waste less as it doesn't suds up as much.  You want less sudsing with the wands if possible to get maximum use out of your bubble liquid.  C had fun helping me pour the items into an empty gallon milk jug.

Bubbles- (makes 1 gallon)
4 cups ajax dish soap (32oz)
1 cup corn syrup
11 cups water

Ajax dish soap is on sale at Menards this week if your area has one.
32oz ea. 2/$3.

Remember, everything can be used as a learning tool.  Ask your child what color wand they have or how many bubbles they caught, are they big or small?  If they don't know, tell them and they will learn to recognize what they are seeing.
